Sofitel Melbourne is celebrating the National Gallery of Victoria’s Escher X nendo Between Two Worlds exhibition with a fitting monochromatic high tea where the black and white palette gives absolutely nothing away when it comes down to taste and flavours, and makes for serious photography candy.

  • Plain and fruit scones, served with jam, cream and/or butter

  • Black sesame cone with salted caramel, passionfruit gel and coconut chiboust filling

  • ‘Black Rose’ - raspberry sponge, blueberry jelly, raspberry, rose and white chocolate mousse on a hazelnut dacqouis base

  • Lime meringue profiterole in an ash choux

  • Flourless vanilla opera cake with blackened coffee gel
